2026 Primary Election — Key Dates
Arizona has permanently moved its primary to the second-to-last Tuesday in July. Here are the dates that matter for this year’s Primary Election.
Check Your Voter Status
The Maricopa County voter dashboard is your primary resource. Sign in with your name, date of birth, and address to verify your registration, check your ballot status, view your sample ballot, find your polling place, and update your information.
BeBallotReady.VoteRegister to Vote
Register by Monday, June 22, 2026 to vote in the July 21 Primary. You must be registered at least 29 days before the election.
Three options for Maricopa County residents:
- Online — requires an Arizona Driver’s License or State ID
- By mail — print a voter registration form and mail to: Maricopa County Recorder’s Office, Attn: Voter Registration, 301 W Jefferson St, Suite 705, Phoenix, AZ 85003
- In person — drop off at the Elections Department, 510 S 3rd Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85003 (Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM)

Maricopa County uses Vote Centers — you can vote at any open Vote Center in the county, not just one assigned to your address.

If you’re on the Active Early Voting List, you can track your ballot from mailing to counting. Text JOIN to 628-683 or sign in to BeBallotReady.Vote.
Track Your BallotID Required to Vote in Person
Arizona requires a valid government-issued ID with your name, photo, and registered address (such as an Arizona driver’s license or tribal ID). If your ID doesn’t include your registered address, you’ll need two forms of ID. Voters without sufficient ID will be issued a provisional ballot.

Find My LegislatorNominate and Support a Candidate
Candidates must collect a minimum number of petition signatures from registered voters to appear on the ballot. Clean Elections candidates must also collect $5 qualifying contributions to receive public funding. You can sign petitions and make qualifying contributions online through E-Qual.
